Nani's Chronicles

Starting a new thread.

A lot has happened over the last few years. Shaken but continuing. My previous blog posts, few of them perhaps, have mentioned my craving to blog quite often. The process to post regularly, nevertheless, has been through many ups and downs- down most of the time. I just hope that Nani's Chronicles will give some continuity to my blogs. If it doesn't, don't count it as my fault. There may be several reasons for the same. Anyhow, here comes the first from the series.

Let me introduce my Nani, the main character. She is 94 years old and has pretty much active analytical skills. Her preferred domains are news (she watches India TV and ABP news; these channels should be thankful for her viewership), devotion (she watches MH-I), and astrology (she watches one program which starts at 8:53 am sharp; pardon me as I don't know the program's name). Rest of the time, she sleeps on the couch while the TV remains on and if you dare to switch it off, you will get it, GET IT RIGHT. She loves food, though she finds it difficult to chew because of teeth depreciation, but she manages to savour almost everything, even if it takes time. And there is more to her. That's what these chronicles are going to be on.

#1: Nani and Covid-19

On March 07, 2020, I listened to Nani, who murmured something like Karena or Kareena while watching the news. Intrigued by this, I asked her, "what happened?". She replied, "Karena poori Duniya ch haiga." Terrified first, later, I understood that she is referring to Coronavirus and that it is all around the world. However, I didn't reply and instead asked, "Kaun Karena?". She replied, "tu news padya kar, wo bimari jedi China tou aayi hai." She meant I should read the news, and corona is that disease that has originated from China.

True that!
