Mayawati, Are You Listening?

Recently I read a comment from Mayawati for Congress on IBN which compares 40 years of congress' rule to two years of her rule. She comments: "In terms of carrying out development in the state, Congress is far behind than BSP. It is to be noticed that owing to lack of development in the state, large-scale migration had taken place from Uttar Pradesh when the Congress ruled the state, as there was no development here." This remark left a feeling of awe in me and prompted me to ask does she know the meaning of development?

If she blames congress for ill - development of the state, then I request her to please let me know what she has done except building monuments around and carrying out long process of beautification. Monuments, though it is legal, I dont know how did she manage, largely consists of her own statues and her party symbol elephant. This huge amount of constrution, she says is done to project the glory of dalits, then is she bothered to tell us that how is it going to help the dalits in long run? May be she thinks so, but I dont find any logic behind such construction if there are other issues and areas like electricity, education and job scenario that need attention. If Congress failed in these, then did she achieve a distinction?
