Timeless Dialogues

Some dialogues (obviously from films) touch you in a way that you love to hear them regularly and quite often. Amongst such dialogues, my latest craze is the introductory speech of Vidya Balan that she delivers as RJ and to which Sanjay Dutt listens. This speech goes like this:

Shahar ki is daur mein daur kar karna kya hai,
Agar yehi jeena hai doston to marna kya hai?

Pehli baarish mein train late hone ki fikr,
Bhool gaye bheegate hue tehlana kya hai?

Serial ke kirdaaron ka saara haal hai maloom,
Par Maa ka haal poochne ki fursat kahan hai?

Ab ret pe nange paon tehalte kyun nahin?
108 hain channel par dil behlte kyun nahin?

Internet se to duniya ke to touch mein hain,
Lekin pados mein kaun rehta hai, jaante tak nahin.

Mobile, Landline sabki bharmaar hai,
Lekin jigri dost tak pahunche, aise taar kahan hain?

Kab doobte hue sooraj ko dekha tha, yaad hai?
Kab jana tha shaam ka guzarna kya hai?

To doston,

Shahar ki is daur mein daur kar karna kya hai,
Agar yehi jeena hai doston to marna kya hai?

Really, hats off to the writer of these timeless lines.
