The Question of Life

On the question of life, people or I should say philosophers (people acting as philosophers or vice versa) bring out innumerable thoughts and ideas. I (being in philosophical mood today) want to emphasise that don't go by what people think or say. Do what you want to. But is it really possible? We are so much under influence and pressure that is it possible to think on our own. Without being prejudiced, I will say NO. The reason is that we are not only living our own life but also have part of others to play. This is what I refer to as influence or imposition.

Influence comes from persons who are around you and they carry themselves in a way that you feel as if you have done nothing as compared to them. As a result, you start doing what they do without even thinking for a split second that it might not be our cup of tea. What happens then? Again a sucessful meeting with failure. Why can't we think the other way round. I mean why do we keep on ignoring that our deeds also have the power to influence others. So instead of bringing in the influence, why can't we just let it out. We can't do it either because of human nature or we have insecuirty and low confidence - level within us that refrains us from executing and exploring what we have.

Imposition, as the theme goes, means the authority of one's thought over other's thinking. The impositor seems so correct and right that our mind stops thinking on its own and follows blindly what is being served to it. Though it depends on one's mental strength how early one gets rid of it, yet its results are really devastating. It can make you or break you. Whatever be the result it is worth experience for those who really want to meet the other side of personality. In this case, Freud's theory of psychoanalysis is worth a point to bring in. Impostion plays upon the strength of ego and superego of the receptor and carry on untill superego smashes it down. Even then you are left with slight traces of influences or in other terms, the experience.

Whatever be the term, influence or imposition, the fact is that we are made as we are now because of these. This is what I mean by living other's life and this is what experience is all about. One can never abstain from these two integral parts of personality.
